Mary Perry

A woman with gray hair smiling while holding a large camera lens in a wooded outdoor setting.

Mary is a native Utahn working in digital photography. As a young child her playgrounds were the Mountains of the Wasatch Front and the Great Salt Lake playing and watching birds along the shores of the Chesapeake Duck Club in Corine, Utah. It was there that the foundation began as a lover of birds and nature; her goals are to better understand and educate others through her creative vision in photography.

Mary is mainly self-taught, continuing her quest to better understand photography through various workshops around the world that have opened her mind and heart to a deeper understanding of herself and the role of photography in the world we live in today.

“At certain times, monochrome serves as my visual response to my emotional state. At other times, pure color becomes the most expressive medium, akin to the vibrant energy of a new day or the deep hues that define the day’s end.
These unspoken visual sensations that touch my heart and soul are interpreted through monochrome, color, and composition as a visual artist in digital photography.”
