Machias Seal Island is accessible only by boat, and only 15 visitors are permitted per day. Visitors are guided to a viewing box where they can observe and capture these incredibly fast birds. The birds move with such remarkable speed and determination that it is akin to watching a football pass by with incredible force. Hidden among the rocks are their nesting areas.
